The biggest wedding event in the Scenic Rim is about to take place and you’re invited! Welcome to the first ever Scenic Rim Wedding Trail taking place on Sunday, 23rd July 2023.
The Scenic Wedding Trail is the perfect opportunity to include your family and friends as you embark on your wedding planning journey! The countryside in the Scenic Rim is uniquely beautiful and can easily be explored from ground, or air! Just one hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim is a spectacular natural beauty in the South East Queensland.
With four venues opening their doors across the Scenic Rim for the Wedding Trail, getting to all can be a little tricky in 5 hours if not planned well. To assist with planning your trail to all four venues, we suggest starting on the East or West side. We plan to trail the day across all four locations (allowing a good 30 minutes at each venue) to meet with suppliers, and draw inspiration from the incredible settings on display. If you’re traveling from the Gold Coast, we suggest starting at The Grounds Estate followed by Rosewood Estate then Mount French Lodge, and finishing at White Chapel Kalbar. For couples planning to travel from Brisbane, we suggest the same order in reverse.
We think visiting four venues is manageable but if you want to visit a select few, that’s fine too! Just be sure to register your attendance at the Welcome Station upon your arrival at each location. Let our Wedding Trail Map assist with planning your big day!

Beechmont – Rosewood Estate

What to expect on the day of the Trail;
When you arrive, make your way to the front stairs of the historic 100 year old Rosewood House where you will receive a warm welcome and Trail bag to fill with all your favourite vendors details. Inside Rosewood House, you will find Photographers, Audio Book Hire, Hair and Makeup Artists at work as well as Marriage Celebrants.
Once your tour of the house has commenced, follow the rear stairs which will lead you towards the famous Lamington plateau. Here, you will find the ceremony of your dreams waiting to inspire with live music to entertain. Soak up the panoramic views over a Prosecco (or Beer) while indulging in a Moreton Bay Bug Roll, and speak with vendors about the plans in store for your wedding day.
Making your way now to the glass marquee where you will find an array of wedding suppliers, including a styled and floralised space to inspire your reception dreams. Enjoy an Aperol Spritz while having a little fun in the photo booth as you take it all in, relaxing with your loved ones in a chill out space next to the open fire-pit. More food samplings to be enjoyed from Oysters to roaming canapés and gelato!

Tamborine Mountain – The Grounds Estate
Address: 108-118 Alpine Terrace, Mount Tamborine | Parking: Allocated onsite, follow the signs. No street parking requested. Viewings by appointment only.

What to expect on the day of the Trail;
When you arrive, make your way to the new Atrium reception space where you will receive a warm welcome, including a Trail bag ready to fill with your favourite vendors details. Inside the Atrium, you will have access to Photographers, Videographers, Audio Book Hire, Signage/Stationery, Stylists, Florists, Cake display, Makeup Artist and Marriage Celebrant.
Follow the path towards to the Parterre Garden where you will find a dream ceremony garden setting. Enjoy roaming canapés as you sip on sparkling in a relaxed cocktail space with live entertainment overlooking the European inspired gardens.
Trail Tip: When you arrive, make your way to the new Atrium space where a Welcome Station awaits.
Kalbar – White Chapel

What to expect on the day of the Trail;
When you arrive, make your way through the white picket fence to a quaint White Chapel where champagne upon arrival awaits. Here, you will receive a warm welcome, including a Trail bag ready to fill with your favourite vendors details. As you enter the natural light filled space, a floral vision awaits! With champagne in hand, wander through the meticulous gardens down to the Pergoda where you will find Celebrants, Photographers, Florists, Cake samplings as well as Hair and Makeup Artist.
Beyond the pergoda you will fall in love with Black Hall which will be floralised and styled to inspire! Just when you think that’s all to explore, you will find there’s more. A quiet space for you to enjoy a roaming canape by Cuisine on Cue as you take it all in.

Charlwood – Mount French Lodge
Address: 139 Lutter Road, Charlwood | Parking: Onsite, grassed space left of main driveway follow the signs.

Everything you can imagine your dream wedding to be, you will find it here. As you arrive, make your way across the green to the white hamptons tent where a vision of wedding style awaits! Here you will find transport for your every need to celebrants, photographers, entertainment and mobile photo booth.
Making your way to the main lodge, you will receive a warm welcome, including a Trail bag ready to fill with your favourite vendors details. Step inside and you will find more wedding services, from Hair and Makeup to roaming canapés, petit fours and live entertainment in a luxurious space.

Places to eat
No visit to the Scenic Rim would be complete without sampling award winning local wine. Head to Canungra Valley Vineyards and grab a picnic basket to relax by the picturesque vines. Or stop by The Overflow Estate 1895 to enjoy a French inspired menu by Two French Chefs. If a rainforest setting is more your go-to, head to Rainforest Restaurant at Cedar Creek Lodges. If you prefer a good all-round meal with a beer at a handsome, traditional stone pub, look no further than St Bernards Hotel. We strongly recommend making a booking wherever you decide to stop along the Trail!
