To celebrate turning ONE, we had a party at Kooroomba Lavender Farm & Vineyard.

At 10am it was 33 degrees.  At 5pm it was 38 degrees.  Did it stop our guests from having a good time, hell no!!

Turning ONE in any new business is cause for a celebration.  And what a year to celebrate!

In 12 short months, Scenic Rim Bride has curated over 12 styled shoots and partnered with over 25 venues and 40+ vendors.  We have curated beautiful content for the promotion of local venues also featured on national and international wedding platforms.  Shining the light on the Scenic Rim in the UK to the USA, Germany and Australia wide.  From well renowned bridal platforms such as Festival Brides, Nouba Blog, To the Aisle Australia, Queensland Brides, One + One, Polka Dot Bride and The Wedding Playbook.  Including local tourism Visit Scenic Rim to local lifestyle magazine Scenic Road Magazine where Scenic Rim Bride is a contributor for weddings in the region.

VENUE

Our celebration took place in a architecturally designed chapel in the middle of a lavender field in the Scenic Rim.  It was always a dream to style the chapel with a long table for a sit down reception. Given the nature of our party, we decided to go with a more relaxed cocktail vibe.  Besides, our style has fast become known for producing the unexpected!  The style for our party was Hamptons meets Summer with a Bohemian edge.  The dress code was white further enhancing the atmosphere.  Little did we know when planning the event that it would be high temperatures.  With guests dressed in white, it added a light, cool feel to the celebration.

MUSIC

Entertaining our guests upon arrival and into the afternoon, was Josh Lovegrove.  Atmosphere is key for any event and with Josh performing, our guests were in for a treat!  The performance was harmonious allowing guests to mingle whilst taking in the stunning views of the Great Dividing Range.  Although there was a slight haze in the air, the scene was undoubtedly very beautiful.

STYLE

One week prior to the event I met with Amy from Global Vintage Hire at Kooroomba.  We shared a beautiful lunch prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Gronberg and sampled sparkling wine produced by the vineyard.  Amy kindly brought along one of her rustic cocktail bars (just landed from Mexico) to see how they would look in the chapel.  It was perfect!  The following week Amy created a mock display ready for the finishing touches to be added by our florist Roxy and her team at Bunch It Up.

FLOWERS

As always, Bunch It Up went above and beyond creating beautiful floral installations.  From dried preserves in small stone bowls for the cocktail tables to coffee and side table arrangements to the chapels arbour, our cake and pop up bar!!  A mix of dried preserves and Kaffe Mo roses reflected the natural elements of our surrounds.  Keeping in theme for the style of our event was key, allowing the chapel to showcase the spectacular view!!!

DESSERT

The arrival of our cake by Samantha from Hello Little Crumb was a sweet surprise.  Not one, but five tiers each with a unique flavour including one gluten free.  In addition to a cake Samantha made us the cutest mini donuts.  Cinnamon, nutmeg and yoghurt donuts injected with lemon curd with a lemon yoghurt glaze and a hint of gold leaf.  Three very large tiers of our cake was kindly given to the local Queensland Fire Emergency Services fighting to keep our community safe.

DRINK

Upon arrival, our guests were welcomed with a glass of sparkling and lime caviar pearls as they made their way to the chapel.

The icing on the cake was our pop up bar Rambling Rose.  What a beauty she was and a huge hit with our guests!  With Kooroomba kindly providing three drink stations of fruit water,  non-alcoholic lavender lemonade punch and a Prosecco punch.  Rambling Rose kept our guests hydrated in style with a beautiful mix of crystal glassware.  To top it off, Sammi from LovenWishes Styled Events said YES to a balloon install billowing out of Rambling Rose.  It was incredible.  The colours reflected the style of our event with the balloons later attached to the entrance of the chapel.

Laura Elizabeth Design created beautiful signage to match, using white gloss acrylic in a mix of classic and festive fonts.  One of our signs revealed the date for the upcoming Scenic Wedding Trail being Winter 2020.

Winter is a magic time in the Scenic Rim where the days are warm and the nights are crisp.  With a vast range of beautiful venues providing open fires with breathtaking views of scenic landscapes.  Winter in the Scenic Rim is like no other.  Planning is now underway with discussions in place with council and local tourism.  Watch this space…

EAT

Prepared by Kooroomba Kitchen, our guests enjoyed delicious canapes over a three hour period.  The feedback from our guests was the food is sensational.  Of course we knew, hence one of many reasons we decided to hold our party at Kooroomba.  Excellent food teamed with great service and spectacular views!

Our menu;

Calamari fritti with chilli lime dressing

Satay chicken skewers, peanut satay sauce

Duck spring rolls with sweet soy and sesame

Mushroom and peas arancini with roast garlic aioli

Mini BBQ pork slider with pumpkin jam and fennel slaw

Of course our party would not be what it was without the support of our talented partners!  THANK YOU.
