Earthy Elegance at Rosewood Estate

Earthy Elegance at Rosewood Estate

There is so much to love from the earthy elegance wedding style on today’s featured Real Wedding.  Keith and Kate had an incredible wedding day at Rosewood Estate in Beechmont.  Offering panoramic views that drew inspiration from the natural ambiance of the venue.  Kate’s love of earth tones and beloved pet dog guest appearance, adding a personal touch!

Love Notes and Posy Lane helped this lovely couple realise their vision with beautiful style.

Wedding Style

Keeping within natural surrounds of the venue, white florals and minimal styling was paramount.  Adding textural layers with white table runners, white pillar candles in glass sleeves, while oatmeal linen napkins complimented wicker charger plates. The light and airy reception took place inside a glass marquee, set for 150 guests.  Choosing to sit amongst their guests, created more space for the dance floor where Kate made a second entrance in her second wedding dress.

Copper satin dresses worn by the Bridesmaids popped against Jacaranda’s in full bloom.  Kate and Keith’s beloved dog walked down the aisle as ring bearer, stealing guests hearts.  Despite a few clouds looming overhead, it was otherwise a picture perfect day.  Filled with laughter, feasting, dancing and above all, love.

Scenic Rim Bride, Kate chose gorgeous gown Sage by luxury bridal designer, Lihi Hod from Maelle.

How we met

“Keith and I met at university – we both went to medical school in Brisbane, and he was living with friends of mine.  We became close after our combined friendship group went on a holiday up north to explore the reef and the waterfalls in tropical FNQ, and dated shortly after.  A few years on, we moved to Cairns for work and adopted a dog!  After living there for 2yrs I was moved away for work again. He proposed at Mt Mulligan lodge just before we started long distance, at a private candle-lit degustation down by the weir.

We’ve only just moved back to Cairns together again!

The Dress

The dress is from Maëlle in Melbourne, it’s a Lihi Hod gown. I never had a brief for the style of dress I wanted, and found it overwhelming trying on all different styles! The dress I ended up choosing is sleek and simple. It was beautiful. Then I changed into a sparkly Ella Moda party dress. I didn’t trust myself to dance in a full gown without stepping on it and had way more fun on the dance floor in a short dress and sneakers.

The Venue

We only saw the venue for the first time the day before the wedding! We found Rosewood on Instagram and the photos were stunning. Keith wanted a view, and I wanted to get married close to home (my family are on the Gold Coast). The clear marquee with the fairy lights was so special.

Favourite Memory

Looking around the room at all the people who are special to us. There won’t ever be a moment again that everyone is together like that. We treated the wedding as more of a celebration of our family and friends, than just a wedding ceremony.

Bride’s Advice

Having a coordinator on-site made a huge difference to the organisation and flow on the day (especially as our venue didn’t have everything on site). We also had supportive family and bridal party, so everybody was relaxed and helpful!

Reception Details

The greenery and native florals were interspersed with pops of gold on the tables.  Candles adorned the tables and reflected off the large glass walls and fairy lit ceiling illuminating the marquee with flickering candlelight.

Food and Beverage

We went for classic Italian wedding food with an aperitivo, followed by a shared-style feasting menu.  After the ceremony we had antipasto platters and roaming canapés served in the courtyard.  Our wedding cake was served as dessert next to the dance floor and bar accompanied by an espresso martini.

During the aperitivo, we served Watermelon Margarita’s followed by a selection of wine during dinner.

Wedding Songs

We walked down the aisle to Can’t help falling in love (acoustic version).  Exiting the aisle we walked out to Here comes the sun by The Beatles.  First dance was ‘Hold my Girl by George ezra (acoustic version).

How we met

In March 2011 at a house party and three months later, Jenna and Tom made officially became a couple.  Thank goodness for a good friend who convinced Jenna to attend the party.  Little did Jenna and Tom know that fate was calling.

The Proposal

Not what Jenna was expecting, but it was better than she could ever imagined.  The proposal took place during a family vacay to the couples favourite camping spot, with their little boy Harley.  Vacating as normal, taking a walk to a favourite lookout when Tom asked for a family photo, then got down on one knee.

The newly engaged couple celebrated at a local winery where Tom had further surprised his new Bride by inviting her family.  A penthouse suite followed with celebrations and champagne continuing into the weekend, with family showering the couple with flowers.

“It was absolutely perfect!  I never thought it would be whilst camping, but it was a very special time, and very us.”

The Venue

“We really wanted to have a destination wedding and not in Canberra where we live. Pre-covid, we wanted to get married in Italy however that idea died with the unknown of boarder closures at the time. It was then narrowed down to Tasmania or Queensland.  After looking at four venues, we went to Beechmont and fell in love with Rosewood Estate and it’s incredible view!”

Standout suppliers

“We can honestly say, hand on heart every single supplier we engaged were absolutely incredible.  Each and every one we would highly recommend to any newly engaged couples. Our wedding day went seamlessly!”

Standout Memories

“Walking down the aisle to Tom was a pretty surreal moment.  I would love to return to our wedding one more time to take it all in.  The day goes so quickly, but our Beechmont wedding turned out perfectly and was a dream!”

Advice

“100% recommend investing in a Stylist and Wedding Coordinator. Especially if your wedding venue is DIY. Without Scenic Rim Bride I don’t think our day could have gone so perfectly. Bronwyn turned our dream day into a reality and we cant thank her enough ❤️
