Scenic Rim Bride teamed up Hannah and Jai from Brisbane Girls Abroad who said YES! Starring as model brides featuring billowing gowns and bridal accessories by local designer, Ulyana Aster.
In the early hours of a winters morning, our team took to the roads to country town Kalbar.
Upon arrival, we met fresh faced Hannah and Jai who had checked into Herrmann House the day prior. Both girls feeling refreshed after a beautiful nights sleep in their own private ensuite bedroom. Each of the double bedrooms contained the most beautiful bathroom filled with a vast range of local beauty products. It was a very cold winters morning and the warm welcome of the fire inside was a pleasant surprise. Hannah and Jai stayed cosy in the homesteads fluffy signature robes for their hair and makeup.

With Hair and Makeup underway by Lara Quinn and Foxs Lane Styling our team were feeling a little famished. Right on time, a pre ordered special delivery breakfast platter arrived by Cuisine on Cue. Not one, but two very large platters featuring a mix of fluffy fresh pastries, mini bagels, croissants, lush berries and an assortment of cheese with other exquisite delights!Scenic Rim Bride 1

After indulging on our fancy breakfast, the girls were whisked away in a chauffeur driven luxury sedan by Tic Tac Tours to the town of Boonah, a 10 minute drive from Kalbar.Scenic Rim Bride6

Thanks to a heads up from Gem at White Chapel Kalbar, we arrived to a secret location in Boonah. An abandoned factory provided the perfect backdrop for a quick ‘rustic’ glam shoot, before heading off to our next location.
Upon arrival to Summer Land Camels we were greeted by rockstar hair braid stylist, Shayla from Sass & Braids. Shayla worked her magic on Hannah and Jai incorporating delicate florals from Bunch It Up.
In the distance we could hear the sound of a helicopter which meant Pterodactyl Helicopters had arrived! Now these guys take their business very seriously. Captain Mike arrived ahead of schedule due to the chance of wind and rain to ensure it was safe. Pterodactyl vast fleet of helicopters offer a pure white one and on this occasion, we were privileged to receive a gold. Quite fitting considering Hannah was now sporting a gold tulle gown designed by Ulyana Aster.
To top it off, Roxy and her team from Bunch It Up installed the most gorgeous floral installation cascading out of the helicopter. The burst of colours was just what we needed on a gloomy day. Bunch It Up really know flowers and boy do they know how to rework them! These flowers were actually featured on display over three days at a wedding showcase prior to our shoot, we love knowing there was zero waste!
With sunset fast approaching (and rain clouds closing in) it was time for Hannah and Jai climbed onto their next ride, camels.
We decided it was best to kick off the girls heels for the camel ride. Whilst we planned for Jai to wear a veil, her cheeky camel decided it might be fun to eat it! We also had a super sized floral corsage for Hannah’s camel who also thought it was food. The prettiest food it had ever seen no doubt! You can catch a glimpse of the corsage which was now riding on Jai’s camel.
We may have missed an opportunity to capture the hero shot of the girls riding camelback into the sunset. However we did have the most wonderful time working alongside our talented suppliers. Not to mention Hannah and Jai really turning it on for our cameras!
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Hannah and Jai who shared enthusiasm and a willingness to explore new ventures with Scenic Rim Bride. And we’re so glad they did!
