There is so much to love from the earthy elegance wedding style on today’s featured Real Wedding. Keith and Kate had an incredible wedding day at Rosewood Estate in Beechmont. Offering panoramic views that drew inspiration from the natural ambiance of the venue. Kate’s love of earth tones and beloved pet dog guest appearance, adding a personal touch!
Love Notes and Posy Lane helped this lovely couple realise their vision with beautiful style.
Wedding Style
Keeping within natural surrounds of the venue, white florals and minimal styling was paramount. Adding textural layers with white table runners, white pillar candles in glass sleeves, while oatmeal linen napkins complimented wicker charger plates. The light and airy reception took place inside a glass marquee, set for 150 guests. Choosing to sit amongst their guests, created more space for the dance floor where Kate made a second entrance in her second wedding dress.
Copper satin dresses worn by the Bridesmaids popped against Jacaranda’s in full bloom. Kate and Keith’s beloved dog walked down the aisle as ring bearer, stealing guests hearts. Despite a few clouds looming overhead, it was otherwise a picture perfect day. Filled with laughter, feasting, dancing and above all, love.

How we met
“Keith and I met at university – we both went to medical school in Brisbane, and he was living with friends of mine. We became close after our combined friendship group went on a holiday up north to explore the reef and the waterfalls in tropical FNQ, and dated shortly after. A few years on, we moved to Cairns for work and adopted a dog! After living there for 2yrs I was moved away for work again. He proposed at Mt Mulligan lodge just before we started long distance, at a private candle-lit degustation down by the weir.
We’ve only just moved back to Cairns together again!
The Dress
The dress is from Maëlle in Melbourne, it’s a Lihi Hod gown. I never had a brief for the style of dress I wanted, and found it overwhelming trying on all different styles! The dress I ended up choosing is sleek and simple. It was beautiful. Then I changed into a sparkly Ella Moda party dress. I didn’t trust myself to dance in a full gown without stepping on it and had way more fun on the dance floor in a short dress and sneakers.
The Venue
We only saw the venue for the first time the day before the wedding! We found Rosewood on Instagram and the photos were stunning. Keith wanted a view, and I wanted to get married close to home (my family are on the Gold Coast). The clear marquee with the fairy lights was so special.
Favourite Memory
Looking around the room at all the people who are special to us. There won’t ever be a moment again that everyone is together like that. We treated the wedding as more of a celebration of our family and friends, than just a wedding ceremony.
Bride’s Advice
Having a coordinator on-site made a huge difference to the organisation and flow on the day (especially as our venue didn’t have everything on site). We also had supportive family and bridal party, so everybody was relaxed and helpful!

The Scenic Rim Spring Wedding Trail was an intimate affair at Wynmere Estate. Located on picturesque Tamborine Mountain, Wynmere opened it’s doors to couples in search of finding their dream venue. With champagne in hand, guests explored the estate with a personal tour amongst inspirational styled settings.
The atrium provided a stunning blank canvas with a minimalist setting. A living installation in green and white with apricot hues made a bold, yet delicate statement. Paired with amber glassware, tall white tapered candles and scalloped napkins. Personalised ribbon in rainforest green, tied around each classic black and white menu. Taking inspiration from a European micro-wedding with a delicous shared style feasting menu.
Outside, by the parterre gardens was staged for an intimate wedding ceremony with florals in white and blue paired with french bistro chairs.
It was a low-key wedding event with Spring providing a picture perfect day. Spring in the Scenic Rim is a perfect time to say I do.

Engaged couples explored venues in the region, whilst meeting a lovely line up of wedding suppliers. Rosewood Estate, Providence Farm Hall and Canungra Valley Vineyards welcomed guests with a vast display of inspirational settings.

Creating an inviting space for couples arrival on the day, was an important consideration. Hence the introduction of a Scenic Rim Wedding Trail lounge. Designed with wedding planning in mind, whilst soaking up the views of Rosewood Estate. A luxury pavilion by Exotic Soirees was erected on the grassed area between the ceremony and reception space. Featuring a gorgeous range of hire items from Hampton Event Hire.

Ceremony planning was a breeze with a circular chair layout, complete with round stage from Staging Creations. Welcome signage thanks to Signed with Love featuring Hampton Event Hire structures. Taking our breath away with a romantic floral display by Bunch It Up.
Wedding services offered up advice whilst caterers served up delicious tasting plates. Dan Murphys provided a fine selection of beverage tastings also. It was the perfect time for menu planning thanks to Gareth Keenan and In Season Catering. Featuring a selection of gourmet canapes by Cuisine on Cue.
A gorgeous styled table with florals by Ivy and Bleu took centre stage at Rosewood Estate. Cute vow cards, signage and menus also on display by Signed with Love. At Providence Farm Hall, a colourful display of florals set against the gorgeous backdrop was created by New England Flower Co.
Scenic Rim Wedding inspiration was aplenty!
Stealing moments from the Trail was a spontaneous sing-a-long by Hitched by Fabs and Kent Dustin Music. One of the many highlights from the trail was seeing vendors come together, with no egos present.
Who can resist the urge to pat a cute goat! Not one, but two friendly goats offered a warm welcome for couples at Providence Farm Hall. Another incredible Scenic Rim backdrop on display, with styled settings and fireworks stealing the show.
