This farm wedding has all the vibes of a 1970’s relaxed bohemian era.  It was really important to us that we fostered a really upbeat, fun and happy atmosphere from the get go.  I believe this set the tone for the rest of the day!  This relaxed bohemian Bride, who is also a wedding celebrant, shares her magical day with Scenic Rim Bride!

The Venue

Ash and I would love to move to the country one day and own a farm.  One Sunday afternoon, we took a drive in the hinterland and stumbled across The Providence Farm Hall.  We noticed it due to all the cute goats in the fields.  When I saw the hall, I thought how cool it would be for weddings and then saw the sign saying they do weddings! We booked it shortly after!  It was so relaxed and versatile, exactly what we were looking for.

Trust your vendors.  They know what they’re doing!  But also, always ask lots of questions if ever you’re feeling unsure.  Make sure the day is a total and complete reflection of you as a couple.  Make it super personal wherever you can.  Try to be as present as possible, especially for the ceremony – it’s the most fun part!

And remember, the most important thing is that you’re marrying your person.  No matter what.  Also, try to steal away a quiet moment with your new husband or wife!  We snuck outside as the sun was setting was the sky was purple.  While guests were dining, Ash and I had a spectacular moment together which our ninja photographer Kim, caught for us.  It was really special.

The Line Up

I chose suppliers that I knew and trusted.  I wanted to be surrounded by friends/vendors I knew would suit our vision for the day and who I loved working with.

Venue: Providence Farm Hall | Photographer: Kim Akrigg | Videographer: Mirf Media | Bride: Hannah Lea | Hair: The Styled Room | Makeup: Moksha Makeup | Dress: Spell | Groom: Hallenstein Brothers | Bridesmaid Dress: The Iconic | Celebrant: Jo Hurley | Bridal Car: Ellie the EH | Florist: Eyes Like WIldflowers | Singer: Maddy Zanatta Music

An incredible musician, Maddy Zanatta, played all upbeat music before the ceremony (I said I loved Parent Trap soundtrack). All our guests have commented on what an incredible talent Maddy is and how it really enhanced the overall atmosphere.

Kim Akrigg is a friend of mine, so having her as our photographer was a no brainer. Kim is a boho queen!

Ellie the EH was a spectacular addition to the day.  We actually signed our wedding certificates on the bonnet!

Lila at Moksha Makeup is a GODDESS.  Funny story, I had an allergic reaction two days before the wedding. My face looked like I had been stung by a bee, badly.  And so I said to Lila, she needed to contour me like a Kardashian so I could regain some resemblance of my face.  Lila is a wizard, I looked normal and natural and no one suspected.  The makeup on my bridesmaids and Mum was absolutely stunning also.

Our florist, Eyes Like Wildflowers, was incredible.  I am such a fan of her work and just sent her the colours and 70’s aesthetic and she ran with it.  I was blown away when I saw the arbour!

Our wedding was almost entirely DIY.  My Mum and I made all the decor and styled everything.  Was it fun?  Absolutely. Would I do it again? Probably not.  The setup and pack down was a little painful.
