Hello! I’m Alister, the photographer behind Alister Randell Photography. For over a decade, I’ve been capturing weddings across the Scenic Rim and beyond.
The Scenic Rim is home for me – a place of incredible landscapes just outside the bustle of the Gold Coast and Brisbane. I’m a family man at heart, grounded by nature and the simplicity of a slower pace of life.
From intimate elopements to destination weddings, I work to capture each event authentically, focusing on the unique details that matter most to you. I’m here as more than just your photographer – if you need guidance on timelines, vendor suggestions, or ideal prep spots, I’ve got you covered.
On your wedding day, I’ll be there to capture it all: from the quiet moments to the biggest celebrations – and those lively, late-night dances. My role is to keep things relaxed and help you stay present, so you can fully enjoy every second.

Wedding photography and videography for the non-posers! Cloud Catcher Studio is a collective of full time wedding photography and videography specialists, founded in 2016 by a bunch of wedding photographer pals who have been wedding-ing even longer than that. We’re also party people whose love for weddings knows no bounds. It’s our main aim to keep weddings – both planning them and the day itself – fuss free and lots of fun for our couples.
We have been documenting beautiful wedding days with no awkward vibes around the Scenic Rim since the dawn of time* (*approximately). Some of our Studio mates have even been married in the region themselves, so we know (and love!) weddings in the Scenic Rim from both sides!
We are here to make this not-very-normal thing feel as natural as it can be. That means no uncomfortable posing or cringe-worthy photoshoots on your one wedding day. Maybe – just maybe! – being in front of our cameras will be more fun than you could ever have imagined.
