Photo and Film was difficult, we searched high and low. After contacting many, we chose Wander and Follow Images due to Joel’s style. Booking was a breeze also.
Walking down the aisle, we both wanted to have live music. After listening to a lot of recommendations, we fell in love with two voices. Sarah Archer and Michael Vosc. Sarah has the voice of an angel as we walked down the aisle, which is why we chose her. To our luck, Sarah was also newly a registered celebrant. It all worked out so easily with Sarah as we wanted our day to be very family oriented. One of Sarah’s packages allowed someone to help her officiate our wedding. We thoughtfully asked Sam’s sister if she would do the honours to which she gladly accepted.
For live entertainment at our reception, we really wanted to engage Michael Vosc. Much to our delight, Michael offered to duo with Sarah as we entered the hall for our first dance. He then sang solo for the duration of our wedding reception. Both Sarah and Michael were a highlight of our wedding.
When it came to catering, we were torn between two companies. I am so glad we went with Brae from VGC. Brae was easy to deal with and nothing was a hassle. I believe we had his A team for our wedding and I can’t fault them. We still get compliments about the food which was a sit down premium buffet.
Heather from country blooms was always going to be my florist. I have been good friends with her Granddaughter for many years. I previously purchased many flowers from Heather throughout my primary school years. Heather is just beautiful and so amazing at what she does.
Liz from Blush’d Brides was so amazing at doing the girls hair. She had previously done my hair for a shoot! No one has ever been able to work with my hair like Liz, she is a hair goddess.
Lara Quinn, I saw images of her work through social media and fell in love instantly. If ever there was a perfectionist, it was between Lara and Bronwyn, our Wedding Coordinator. Both are truly talented at they do. Without doubt, we highly recommend hiring Bronwyn from Scenic Rim Bride. We thought all things were covered but we would have been lost without Bronwyn, who assisted with our elegant country wedding. Bronwyn certainly covers your entire day so you only look back on how perfect it was!
Highlights from our wedding day was when Joel gave Sam and I 15 minutes to ourselves. We sat at the top of the hill during the bridal portraits to take it all in and really be in the moment.
If I could assist couples with advice, I would say ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’. You want to look back and think of your wedding as a positive experience, especially the planning stages. Communication is key. It’s your one and only day. Let it involve every choice of your happiness.
