Come rain, hail or shine!
October’s floods could not stop the celebration of Rebecca and Jack Yeomans wedding, making the day a truly memorable one.
Bec and Jack were married amid last October’s rising floodwaters on Bec’s family farm in Kilcoy, Queensland. The week of the wedding started with sunshine, which lured the family into a false sense of security. With an imminent deluge from above, creeks ran their banks and gullies ballooned. But country folk won’t be detered, as 150 guests made their way past the surging waters.
In true rural spirit, everyone pitched in. There’s no point dwelling on the what ifs,. It simply was the most magical and unique day, despite the chaos!

While COVID threw out the couple’s original planned wedding at Rosewood Estate, it was a blessing in disguise. Bec and Jack shortly discovered they were expecting a baby boy, Fred! Hence another postponement, including a change of location. After two years of wedding planning, SE Qld encountered rain, lots of it! With family and friends quickly turning a large onsite shed into a beautiful ceremony space.
The close-knit community of family and friends, ensured a very special day for the couple.
A true bridal shower. Bridesmaids picking their way through the mud in high heels, rain or shine.
